The IPC operates a Code of Practice that encourages good practice and facilitates the fair release of data where there is a right to recover parking charges. The fair release of data is instrumental in protecting the rights of land owners and now has statutory recognition since the 1st October 2012 with the enactment of the Protection of Freedoms Act.

Our system is based on contract law. By the motorist entering the land and seeing the contractual warning signs displaying the terms and conditions for parking, they enter into a contract regarding the parking regulations. Should they choose to park whilst not meeting the parking regulations and fail to pay the charge then they are breaking the contract. This is enforceable in the courts. This can be seen by the recent appeals court ruling Parkingeye vs Barry Beavis To date the number of judgements recieved in our favour including costs
